I am the Director of Public Relations and Development at Danau Girang Field Centre, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia (, established in 2008 through a formal partnership between Cardiff University (UK) and the Sabah Wildlife Department. We are currently undertaking a joint research project with CU (Regrow Borneo: which is an ethical, transparent, science-led, community engagement programme focussing on the reforestation of highly degraded forest areas in the Lower Kinabatangan area. The successfully replanted areas are subject to the long-term data collection of carbon sequestration and monitoring of the reintroduction of wildlife (including orangutan, elephant, Sunda clouded leopard, banteng, proboscis monkey etc). Would such a project be considered for support under your grant award scheme?
